Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Cryptoroom (“we”, “the Service”) is a browser-based crypto market analysis and demo trading tool. We designed the Terminal to work primarily on your device so that sensitive trading activity stays under your control.

2. Data we do not collect by default

  • We do not require an account to use the scanner or demo mode.
  • We do not collect your real trading history or balances unless you voluntarily connect an exchange API.
  • We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Local storage on your device

The Terminal uses browser localStorage / sessionStorage to remember:

  • Your preferred language (English)
  • Filter states (BTC, Funding, Session)
  • Demo trading positions and balance
  • Forex scanner cache and broker-matching preferences (stored on that device only)
  • UI preferences

This data never leaves your browser unless you clear site data or use a different device.

4. Exchange connections (optional)

If you choose to click “Connect Binance” and provide API keys:

  • Keys are handled in your browser session for the purpose of reading positions / placing orders you explicitly request.
  • We strongly recommend using API keys with read-only or restricted trading permissions and IP restrictions.
  • Cryptoroom never stores your API secret on a server. If you clear the browser, the connection is gone.

You are solely responsible for the security of any keys you generate.

5. Third-party services

The Terminal requests public market data from exchange APIs (Binance, MEXC, etc.). These requests are made directly from your browser. Those providers have their own privacy policies.

The Forex scanner (APEX FX) loads currency-pair market data from a third-party provider (Yahoo Finance) through a lightweight proxy on our own server. The proxy briefly caches public price candles on the server to stay within the provider's rate limits; this cache contains only public market prices and is not linked to your identity.

We may use standard analytics or error logging in the future on the marketing pages only. The core Terminal is designed to function without tracking.

6. Cookies

Essential functional storage is used as described above. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
